    What’s in My School Bag

    October 8, 2018

With the beginning of school comes the school commute! After three years of being in the same apartment (pretty far from campus), I have finally perfected my school bag. Often my schedule requires me to be on campus from morning until late at night, which means everything I need has to come with me. I’ve been using this reversible Street Level tote I got from Nordstrom on and off for the last two years and it has held up really well! I added a Madewell sash to the strap to give it a refresh for the new school year. The bag is exactly the right size for my laptop, which then…

How Defining Ideal You Can Make Her a Reality

    September 20, 2018

Happy almost fall my quarter system sunshines! With only a few days before school starts, it’s time to get those brand spanking new planners out and think about what you want to accomplish in the coming year! We’ve spoken a lot about how to set goals, but today I want to share a little more about that first step of the process: visualizing your future! This summer, I started a meditation practice and often the guided meditations I listen to talk about manifesting your destiny. I’m not sold on the idea of manifestation, but I do believe in the importance of clarifying your long-term goals and finding ways to keep…

    Staying Healthy While Abroad

    April 12, 2018

This week’s installment of Ro&Co features my very special guest, Martina, who recently started her own blog, DTM! Martina shares her tips for staying healthy while she’s off galavanting around Europe for her study abroad! Hello everyone! I’m Martina, one of three members of DTM Blog (short for Doing the Most). I’m currently studying abroad in Paris, and I’m having a great time; I’ve had at least 100 pains au chocolat, a ton of picnics with wine and cheese, and have been hanging out with friends 24/7. It’s been so relaxing and so much fun, but it’s been tough to stay healthy. So, with my *seasoned* experienced, I thought I’d…

    Balancing Your Art and College

    March 29, 2018

In this week’s installment of Ro&Co, Elizabeth shares how she balances her dream of becoming a writer with her major, her extracurriculars, and her life in college. It’s normal for college students to have a job, or even more than one, that they have to balance with all of the other chaotic aspects of college, but those jobs come with a perk: you get paid to do them. Over the last seven years I have spent to majority of my free time on a job that I don’t get paid for. At least not yet. For most people writing and other forms of art are hobbies to do on the…

4 Coffee Shops for Studying in Chicago

    March 8, 2018

Finals week studying have you down? In this week’s installment of Ro&Co, Marianne Dolan shares her top 4 coffee shops to study in around Chicago! Make the most of your reading period and explore the city while you work! Perhaps you’re not a fan of brutalist architecture. Or maybe it’s just demoralizing that you get more social interaction on the first floor of the library during finals week than you’ve had the entire rest of the quarter. Be antisocial yet adventurous with these gems of coffee shops. Peach & Green – South Loop Peach & Green is like the Zendaya of coffee shops. Just as I genuinely wonder if there’s…
